"Instead of going to jail, I had one of the most wonderful nights of my life. Eggleston insisted I stay for dinner, which I did. It was a festive night of chicken, mashed potatoes, steamed carrots and another bottle of great wine from a region in Northern California where the Eggleston family likes to vacation.
