Tonight is the world premiere of #ShootingClerks at the @orlandofilmfest - a biopic by @auldreekiemedia & friends that depicts the making of #Clerks. When we made my first film, I never imagined it would become the story of a movie one day - let alone a movie that would shoot on two continents (the folks at #AuldReekieMedia filmed in both Scotland and America)! The whole thing has been insanely flattering and a little mind-bending. But the fact that this labor of love biopic was crafted by ambitious young indie filmmakers who are not all that dissimilar to the ones portrayed in their movie (and once played IRL by me and my friends) makes this extraordinarily special. Thank you and congrats to fellow filmmakers #ChrisDownie and @unofficialryanjames on their big night! I wish I was going to be there but I'm previously committed (to a sold out @jayandsilentbob Get Old show with @jaymewes in #Regina). But believe me: I cannot wait to see what some of my favorite memories look like through someone else's lens! The festival is also showing #FilmHawk tonight - the @bobhawkdocumentary about one of my favorite people in the world, the man who discovered Clerks!
