@katiebirdlamber: In the fall of 2014 my long held dream of visiting the #VerdonGorge in the Provence region of France came to fruition. Once again @carolinewaregeorge and I partnered up to experience the miles of blue limestone walls the Verdon boasts. My trip to the Picos the previous year had given me quite a taste for spicy, multi-pitch limestone and spending some time in the Verdon had become a must do for testing finger strength, technique and nerves on the notorious run-outs. However, as the Griffins Vultures fly above your head and soar down into the depths of the gorge one gets the sense that this place is so much more than just the climbing and you’ll need more than one #Rocktober to really appreciate all that it offers.
