Santa Kumar Kulung, one of #thelasthoneyhunter crew rests his load in the jungles below the village of Mamerku, in the upper reaches of Hongu river valley in Eastern Nepal. He is carrying a 250 foot long rope ladder, made from tightly woven strips of bamboo. Tomorrow, Maule Dhan's life will depend upon this homemade ladder and the raw strength of his teammates, as he climbs to harvest coveted wild cliff honey. ~
#Thelasthoneyhunter crew is in position for the first of two honey cliffs that Maule Dhan and his team will harvest this year. Tomorrow we will join him on the impossibly steep cliff, battling swarms of tens of thousands of the largest bees on Earth. ~
