House of the Day: Russell House by #ErichMendelsohn

Russell House was designed by #German-born #Modernist #architect Erich Mendelsohn and completed in 1951. Located in #SanFrancisco, it is the only residential work in the #UnitedStates by #Mendelsohn, and was one of the final projects he worked on before his death in 1953.

The elevated property is designed over four floors and features a striking #circular seating area within the master bedroom which protrudes out from the main structure and offers #spectacular views across the San Francisco Bay.
