This picture is from an expedition to Cocha Cashu biological station in Manu National Park, Peru. Our aim was to document the amazing diversity of animals that visit a fruiting fig tree deep in the Peruvian Amazon. To do this we dragged a scaffold tower (weighing more than 10 tons!) from Lima via Cusco then down to the Amazon basin to Rio Madre de Dios, where we used 3 boats to transport the scaffold to Cocha Cashu. Then set up our tower under a fruiting fig tree…. A real adventure!
