Never Settle! Please READ! ? One thing I often get asked is "How do you stay motivated?" Or "How did you become successful?" Success and motivation are all relative. The answer for me is: Never settle. As soon as you accomplish a goal, don't get comfortable or think "ok I'm done." Set a new goal and try to find new ways to improve yourself and what you hope to offer others. One thing I've experienced in life at a young age was loss. Loss of everything. All at once. At age 22, I lost my whole family (my mother, my sisters, my father, my brother, my friends, my identity, my faith, my money and my home) all in one day. I had to learn how to survive on my own and start over from square one. I had to set mini goals daily so that I would not become overwhelmed. I had to learn that improving yourself is a blessing not to be taken for granted. I learned that strength and confidence come from experiencing hardships and being determined to make it through. The will to survive and grow as a better person is the only thing that saved me from the brink of loneliness, depression and suicide. I prayed for guidance and the will to overcome. I was granted a long hard path but everyday I'm thankful for what I have. I never want to settle again. Life is too short and there's too much to lose to not embrace everyday as an opportunity for improving oneself and others. See my book "Banished: Surviving My Years in the Westboro Baptist Church" my memoir of my former life if you'd like to know more about my past or simply Google my name. ••• ?| @underground_nyc
