A pod of Bottlenose Dolphins socialize in the early morning, just below the surface of the sea in The Bahamas. With the second largest brains (relative to body size) after humans, dolphins have been described as ‘an alien intelligence on Earth.’ They form social alliances, use tools, create unique feeding strategies, and use complex communication in order to build communities and survive. This photograph comes from my coverage of Dolphin Intelligence, featured in the May 2015 issue of @ナショナルジオグラフィック Magazine.
