After the floods, I started calling around and was amazed to hear the @atlantahumane society was transporting in dogs from Louisiana. The 100 dogs and cats they brought were originally from shelters there, but those shelters needed to make space for pets who were displaced, so their owners could find them. First and foremost let's take a second to appreciate them for doing this because most of the Louisiana dogs were immediately adopted!! I went over there this morning to meet some of the babies, and I'd love to share a few pictures with you guys of some that really need homes because they've been there too long and need to find their forever homes. Maybe one of you will fall in love with someone I post. For many years I've been focused on pit bull rescue and seniors always steal my heart. If I had it my way I’d have my own rescue for only them. Imagine being abandoned after ten years of living in your home with a family. How horrible would that be? And imagine being euthanized simply because you were a specific breed that came with a bad name. Not fair. These guys deserve love as much as any other so please don't forget them!!! Linda is a perfect example of a little superstar. She is a 6 year old pitty, one of those super special ones you know you will keep thinking about. Linda had cancer but is now cancer free. She has been through so much, a cancer survivor, a little warrior. Linda has been there for a very long time and as much as the staff loves her kisses, she deserves to have her own family. Let's find Linda a home :). Call @atlantahumane for more details on Linda, but I can tell you one thing for sure; she's gives the best kisses and would love to share her love and chew toys with you ???
