With the Olympic Games over and my bags finally unpacked, I finally have a clear mind to write. I would be lying if I said I was happy with my end result of a ten at the Games. I'm extremely disappointed. Sport is unforgiving and sometimes the stars don't lineup correctly. I wish things would of ended differently, but with every negative comes many positives. I couldn't of been more proud to represent the beautiful country of the USA and all of it's wonderful citizens. When I'm competing with the flag on my sail I feel it's me racing with the whole country at my side. I am completely honored to of earned that. I have learned many things since my accident and have cherished the support that I received from all of you during the road to recovery. I wanted to give a HUGE thank you to all of my sponsors and yacht club; Rooster, Sunbrella, Team Sperry along with the Sailing Foundation of New York, St Francis Yacht Club and the Foundation. Without you, none of this would be possible. To all of my family, friends and supporters; I love you all very much and I am grateful for having you. Your support gets me through the lows and makes me enjoy the highs even more. It takes a team to get a person to the Olympics. US Sailing Team Sperry, the staff, and my coach Mark did a wonderful job at aiding me in every way possible. I wanted to thank you for always believing in me. So what happens now??? First a little rest and recovery...next a reevaluation on my career. The only thing I haven't achieved in my sailing is an Olympic Medal. I'd say we figure out how to get it next time! @roostersailing @ussailingteam @stfyc
