In the last of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics closing ceremony, Kaminari-mon Gate came up in the introduction of the host country of Japan on the next time.

I learn the beautiful skill of the sword called 剱伎道 （KENGIDO）from Mr. Shimaguchi Tetsuro who is the creation, the sponsorship.
A TATE of the traditional culture that a Japanese spirit, samurai were ever full of.
A TATE instructed Shimaguchi in a movie "Kill Bill" of director Quentin Tarantino and it was appeared.
Both the chance and waste are few beautiful TATE.
What I learned the other day
It is not form and speed of the skill to be important,
Feel the breath of the partner.
Face a partner seriously.

リオデジャネイロオリンピック閉会式の最後に、次回開催国の日本の紹介の中で、雷門が登場しましたね。
先日、ここの近くで殺陣を習いに行ったのですが、外国の方も沢山いらっしゃいました。

私は、剱伎道という美しい殺陣を、創始・主宰である島口哲朗先生から教わっています。
日本のスピリット、侍がかつて極めた、伝統文化の殺陣。
島口さんは、クエンティンタランティーノ監督の映画「キルビル」で殺陣指導及び出演もされていました。
隙も無駄もない、とても美しい殺陣です。

大切なのは、技の形やスピードではなく、
相手の息を感じること。
相手と真剣に向き合うこと。
「間合い」が、不可欠であることを改めて教わりました。
