Summer holiday with your best girlfriends, in the Greek Islands? We had the idea in the butt crack of winter,& booked it while the snow was still falling. As life goes on, peoples paths naturally go in different directions, some people move abroad, babies arrive, career progression & demands linger….You know the deal.As I reflect on one of the best weeks of my life,with two of the best women in my life,I am so full of gratitude,not only for the surreal & stunning setting of the hotel & location, but to be able to spend 7 full days with my two best friends. Every single day there was a time where we laughed so hard we couldn’t breath, had tears rolling down our face, & our stomachs ached from laughing so truly. You know the kind of jokes only you & your friends get, from shared experiences that are so funny, you couldn’t stop laughing if you tried.
@MelYudi & I have been friends for 21yrs. The first face I saw on my very first day at Port High in Grade 8, & we’ve been bestfriends ever since.We have been thru thick and thin, we shared a flat in Sydney where she not only graciously allowed me to take over the dining room for a little jewellery hobby I had at the time, & then when @SamanthaWillsOfficial started to get bigger then I could handle, Mel would be sitting right there next to me helping bead, cut chain, compile earrings or pack orders. Her and I can have full conversations with just our eyes with one look telling the other something a million words couldn't. Mel recently found out she is expecting her first child, and it was beautiful to be with my glowing friend, with a little bump, laying by the pool, laughing & having no place to be. Mel lives in London now,& while we don’t see each other as often as we’d like, when we do, it is like we have never spent a day apart.
