From Rescate Animal Zooave: lThis parrot was admitted to our clinic and brought by a private owner who told us that since it was little, it had this malformation at its peak. We are not sure if it was genetic or occurred due to inadequate food and unfit hangers.
Perches (branches or trunks where they perch) are very important because parrots will bite them and naturally smooth their beaks. Below the beak grew abnormally because they did not have a cap on the top, whichtbrought him much trouble feeding but people who cared for her helped her to feed daily.Once he was in the foundation we performed a general medical check which fortunately
showed that he was in good shape despite the malformation. After the examination, it was
estimated that he is around 20 years old.
