It can be tough to find a place to live in New York City. So why not let your dog call the shots? When Kaitlin and Ben Fund had to find a new apartment, they chose to stay in their neighborhood so that their golden retriever, Hobie, could keep going to his preferred doggie day care center on West 25th Street. “When we bought Hobie,” Kaitlin told @ニューヨーク・タイムズ, “we promised ourselves that because he’s a big dog we would send him to day care so he wouldn’t be cooped up at home with nothing to do.” Apartment-hunting New Yorkers have their wish lists — for some, it’s a view; for others, a window will do. But for some pet owners, the needs of the pup — or the parrot — take precedence over silly human desires. What does that mean for the humans?
