To the people who are sad too often or for too long: You aren't naturally a sad person, you are naturally a person. Feelings come & go, but you always stay. Because you're bigger than them, stronger. Sometimes we think they are permanent because they've been here for so long, & we get comfortable, we make ourselves at home there, we aren't even bothered by it. And it's true, we shouldn't be bothered by sadness. We should embrace the feeling BUT what we should be bothered by is the imbalance of feelings. Of feeling too much sad, not enough happy. Too much hopelessness, not enough inspiration. Etc. And I say we "should be" because we will be. That's life. Balance is so essential, even when we may not realize it. We just feel "off" or "empty". This is why. Of course I may not know you or what you've been through, so I can't say everything. But I am human and so are you and so in that way I can empathize. That's really it. Sometimes we accept we are a certain way for the rest of our lives but to be honest even the people who have spent their entire lives dedicating it to spiritual paths & constant soul searching are ever-changing & still have more to learn about themselves, more ways to grow. We have to keep searching, keep digging, keep learning. Being humans content and at peace with who we are takes a lot of work, maintenance, patience. Each day. & I have found the most essential part of being that way is waking up each day with immense gratitude and amazement about just how incredible it is to be alive, to be given so much, to be able to feel so many things. If we have the capability to be THAT sad, we have the capability to be THAT happy. Sometimes people forget that, but it's how life works. It's yin & yang. Ancient knowledge. It's funny how the saddest & the happiest people are both the ones who are not afraid of the afterlife, isn't it? ✨??
