“Before photographing this picture, the weather had been pretty gloomy. It was getting towards the end of the day when the clouds began to open up. I saw a ray of light peaking through this opening, so I climbed up to reach a higher vantage point to capture the mountains. Once I reached the top of my climb, I saw a man standing beyond - taking it all in. It was a rare moment in which everything sort of aligned for this very photograph.
