Here I paddle my kayak next to an ice wall at the #Mendenhall #Glacier in #Alaska. Since I was kid, growing up in the Canadian Arctic, I have had an obsession with ice and snow. Just twenty years ago, you never heard the words climate change or global warming. Now it is a harsh reality that affects every person on this planet. Al Gore was very wise when he referred to climate change as “An Inconvenient Truth”. Now it has turned into a brutal and undeniable truth that requires immediate action. 99% percent of the glaciers in the northern hemisphere are disappearing and it serves as a powerful indicator of an ailing planet.
