“I was very ill with Lyme disease. I remember barely being able to walk from the bed to the bathroom and sleeping in the back of my car. My good friend flew out from the East Coast and took me shopping. She said to me, 'I don't care if you are sick, I want to take you shopping and make you feel special.' I had just started my jewelry company, and with the first little bit of extra money I had, I bought my FRYEs. I remember crying because I had never imagined that I would actually be able to buy a pair of FRYE boots. Five years later, I now own a jewelry company with 8 employees and my sales are in the seven figures.
