With many shorter cuts we WANT to maintain the strength of our shape while keeping a more “lived in” edge. We can easily achieve this with a blending shear! Instead of picking up a straight shear and point cutting our sections, let’s think and do things differently by utilizing a blending shear.
We simply follow the contour of the head shape with the cutting line.
1. Determine how much length you want to remove
2. Approach your section with the blending shear – close the blades and slide the shear out
3. Continue this movement on your sections moving to the round of the head until all lengths are removed.
Our end result exposes a fairly strong shape with the soft, diffused edges that we are looking for! Click the link in the bio for the full tutorial ?
