The New England Forest Rally is underway! @newenglandforestrally features 100 competitive stage miles on gravel roads based between Maine and New Hampshire.
53 cars at the start of the rally, at Sunday River Ski Resort.
Roads are dry, dusty and rough in parts. Big embedded rocks (usually painted bright orange) have been known to give competitors lots of trouble and punctures.
Last night's (Thursday) rain will only wet the top of the surface and the water will run off the roads.
Temperatures are expected to be well in the 90s the entire weekend.
