Speaking of my favorite small independent business, I did think of this place as one of the spots for the zine #fornewyork from @onbondstreet, But I figured that someone else who is also featured surely will bring them up, and I thought the newer small business might need more support - but of course, it turned out that one of the oldest one did. If I did include it, it would had been a strange timing since they release the statement of closing the store the day before the launch of the zine.
Now, New York Central Art Supply is closing after 111 years. So Long, and thanks for all the paints (and papers and pencils and all the wonderful things) for all these years since I was an art student.
