Kartlis Deda ~ Mother of a Georgian monument, looking over the inhabitants of Sololaki, the historic area of Tbilisi, Georgia.

After finishing hosting an exceptional, love and visually pouring photo workshop with eleven talented photographers, I finally had a moment to wander the ancient avenues of Sololaki, an evening basted in yellow dripping light, coming across the towering grand symbol I had seen in so many of photographers images -- Kartlis Deda, the Mother of a Georgian statue.

Now in neighboring Armenia for a short break with my son, @richardstanmeyer, and dear friend/fellow workshop guru, @anushbabajanyan, a slight void is appearing, realizing I had never had the time to meander the labyrinth of streets, each a poem, within the welcoming city of Tbilisi.

This should be straightforward to solve -- @anushbabajanyan and I are already pondering the next Storytellers Workshop for Tbilisi.
