Photograph taken by @christianziegler This cat-eyed snake is eating a clutch of a Red-Eyed Tree Frog eggs on a leaf where the female frog has deposited the eggs above a small pond. The embryos have a clever trick; they can hatch within less than one minute and fall down into the pond below to escape danger. Here you see one tadpole sliding out of the snake’s mouth.
