amidst the chaos I'm craving the calm of the moments just before everyone arrived last friday for our workshop - designing and setting the table is one of my favorite parts to any gathering - mixing styles, textures shapes and materials - the sleek shape of antique black pitchers against molded grey chairs, field grasses and fine glassware, my new found affection for splattered enamel plates, simple silver for a bit of sparkle and of course a heavy linen napkin -
