Roaring #Twenties: “One of the greatest beauties of her time” Paula Gellibrand was a sophisticated society woman married at this time to the first of her three husbands, the Spanish-Cuban racing driver and founder of the Curzon Cinema, the 1st Marquess de Casa Maury. #Beaton first saw her sweeping past in a Rolls Royce in Bond Street in 1925 and stood to admire her. In 1986, she spent her last days in the Priory at Roehampton, with a sketch by Beaton above her bed. ✨✨✨
