What We're Reading: 50 Architects 50 Buildings

A collaborative project between the Twentieth Century Society and architectural journalist Pamela Buxton, ’50 Architects 50 Buildings’ asks 50 leading contemporary architects to identify the buildings that have made a lasting impact on them and their work. In doing so, the book offers a survey of the buildings from around the globe which have had a formative impact on architecture today.

The book covers a broad spectrum of buildings from work spaces and places of worship, to public and cultural buildings. With two sections on residential architecture – both individual houses, and housing developments – the project also offers a fascinating snapshot into the houses and apartments which have (and continue to) inspire contemporary projects. We’ve selected some of our favourites.
