Open to the public for 16 days starting June 18, avant-garde artist Christo Javacheff will finally bring to fruition an installation he and his late wife Jeanne-Claude first envisaged over 46 years ago. "The Floating Piers" project was constructed from 220,000 polyethylene cubes and stretches over northern Italy's Lake Iseo.
