Not quite the race I was hoping for in Lucerne on Tuesday night but all part of the journey and good tactical experience! It was a fast group of girls with most having PBs under 2, a few 157-158 girls so I thought it would be a fast race but noone went with the pacemaker and we were going so slow after the first 100m, the first girl was about 62 mid through 400m and I was about 63 high which is a very slow first lap, normally aim to go through in about 58 depending on current form. Since it was slow it was very bunched and messy and I (as well as some of the other girls) went really wide and everyone accelerated on the second lap. I only finished in 2.04.62 and it was won by Lynsey Sharp in 2.02.87, she ran a great race tactically!
