This man deserves all the credit in the world. I came to him in 2013 a wreck, in need of a coach, a training regimen and a change. Somehow he saw some potential in me, when most people had written me off. I am a very stubborn athlete, and the harder I push he pushes back even harder. He has taught me what it means to be a professional, an athlete and most importantly, he has taught me how to be in control of what I am doing. He renewed my love for this sport and has shown me that I have so much to learn. I started with him thinking that 2014 would be my last year, and now three seasons later, I am a world silver medalist with no end in sight. Thank you Raf for being the coach I needed you to be. I am so grateful and owe so much to you. To have the rest of the world acknowledge it as well makes me so happy. This man is Coach of the Year, and he so deserves it. Thank you Raf!!
