Travel Tips: #hgibrightideas -Look up the average weather before booking
-If you have Verizon, your phone is considered "unlocked" and you can get a universal sim at the airport if you're in another country, where you can get free data and unlimited text for like $30 (unlike AT&T where you pay $60 for not even a gig of data)
-Pack your shampoo's in a ziplock bag (or suffer the consequences of having it spill ALL over your bag ?)
-Learn a few phrases (such as hello, thank you etc) -Don't have everything planned, enjoy the spontaneity -Try the cultured food
-If your going somewhere where they have a different accent, try and speak in that accent and see if you can get away with it ?
-Put an empty carry-on bag in your suitcase to put all of the souvenirs in on the way back home
-Book a flight that leaves early that way you have the entire day to enjoy, same with returning back home
-Bring a paperback book to enjoy, batteries die on kindles -Wake up early, go to bed late. -Have fun but be safe. Plan ahead of what areas you should stay out of. -Download all of the local "metro apps" on your phone beforehand and learn them before leaving. -Keep all of the tickets and make a scrapbook at the end.
-Roll your clothes instead of folding them to create more space
-Have a conversation with someone there, learn something!
-Have a universal plug
-Bring an extra ID & money and leave it in the room -Make sure the room has a safe
-ALWAYS check Groupon before booking something because school is expensive and ya girl is struggling lol
-ALWAYS check trip advisor and yelp to make sure Groupon is accurate haha
-Be careful who you give money too (i saw a beggar with a fresh mani one time!)
-Check in with your loved ones (otherwise they'll threaten to book a flight over to make sure you're okay lmao)
-But stay away from your phone. Enjoy the moment #hgitravelguide @hiltongardeninn
