“I feel very privileged to have been chosen as the commander of Cathay Pacific’s first A350 delivery flight. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” says Captain Peter Lees, whose flying career spans four decades. “In my career I’ve been lucky enough to have done some amazing things—such as flying the Harrier, and formation aerobatics—and the delivery of this first A350 ranks alongside them all. It's a state-of-the-art aircraft and a real pleasure to fly.” After working on the #A350 project for more than a year, Captain Lees will return to line as a senior training captain this week, spending much of his time training other pilots on the A350.
