The Ganges, one of the largest rivers in the world, is the most sacred to Hindus, and is worshipped in Hinduism as the goddess Ganga. Its water is bottled by many in large plastic containers and saved for both religious and practical uses--Ganga water being a vital asset for the daily needs of many.
