I had been covering a lot of ground looking for game trails and scent sites to place my remote cameras when I found this overhang in the Wind River Range in Wyoming. Protected from the weather, the ground stays dry and is a great location for a “scrape” or scent site which mt. lions use to mark and define their territories. I knew this would be a good location. Close to a game trail…..I got to work. I set up a camera at the scrape and on the trail leading in and began the most excruciating part of being a camera trapping……..the wait.
