buttermilk baking powder biscuits ready to be popped into the oven - the rhubarb compote is cooking on the stove & there is a homemade buttermilk ice-cream chilling in the freezer - I'm not usually one for desserts but I must admit I'm rather excited for this one -
enjoying listening to the convivial chatter from the other room as three generations of women are gathered in the kitchen now sipping wine and prepping dinner together
