Happy Cinco De Mayo! Here's a throwback to a Mexico adventure where I earned the honors of being the only person (that I know of) to get a cover of a magazine throwing up ? There is a story to it that hopefully adds some sense ... I was in Puerto Escondido on a photo shoot for Pit Magazine with teammates @freddybooth @jjthedadayala and photographer @josephlibby. Well there were these Puerto Rican's down there who knew who we were from magazines or whatever and every day they'd come banging on our door yelling, "We challenge you to a contest at La Punta, we will WIN!!!" haha ? We were so tripped out by their competitive vibe that we hid from them the whole trip. So the last night we were there someone throws this big rooftop party and we're all having a good time under the stars with our local friends when here come the Puerto Ricans with a bottle of tequila insisting, "We challenge you to a drinking contest" I had finally gotten so fed up with them I grabbed the bottle out their hands and just downed the whole bottle. Well that was the end of that ... I took one for the team and silenced our challengers but other than a slight recollection of everything starting to spin it was also the last thing I remember about that night. The next morning I woke up with the worst hangover of my life still feeling the earths rotation and sick as a dog. We made our way to the spot for one more photo session and I started puking my guts up and @josephlibby was chasing me around the beach torturing me with his camera trying to get pictures of me throwing up. He ended up getting this candid shot of me puking with @freddybooth looking over his shoulder watching me probably in a state of disgust. Moral of the story ... sometimes victory comes at a price ?
