We are saddened to learn about the passing of groundbreaking artist Maria Sol Escobar, known as #Marisol (1930-2016), currently featured in our exhibition #InternationalPop. In her sculpture “Dinner Date” (1963), two sculpted self-portraits come together over TV dinners, satirizing the growing presence of media in our everyday lives.
