Happy 50th birthday to Alessandro Costacurta! The tactically versatile centre-back spent some 20 years with AC Milan between 1987 and 2007, winning several trophies, including five UEFA Champions League/European Cup trophies. Costacurta was also an important member of the Italian national team. He played in two FIFA World Cup tournaments (1994 and 1998), reaching the final in 1994, which was lost against Brazil.
