Photo @Cory Richards To me, celebrating Earth Day means reminding myself that we are a part of this planet, and not apart from it. We need it, but it does not need us in the strictest terms. Everest is our planet's biggest and most iconic mountain...a physical and metaphorical canvas on which we place ideas and dreams. It is at once symbolic of the planets great power and indifference, and our own fragility. Celebrating this week in it's shadow reminds me to tread lightly as this balance is a delicate one.
