Ueli Steck is in Nepal preparing for some big climbs in the Himalayas. But getting acclimatized and ready isn’t about waiting: Last week Ueli and his team mate David Goettler ran three famous mountain passes in one day. The 60-kilometer, 12-hour run took them up to 5500 meters. “That was a great final training in the Khumbu Valley before going to Tibet,” Ueli says.
