#MovementMondays This is Zetna Fuentes. She is a Puerto Rican Director born and raised in Bronx, New York. This post is very special to me as I am in absolute awe of Zetna. She has directed Jane the Virgin several times and is just one the most pleasant, level headed and focused directors I have ever worked with. Her credits include a plethora of hit shows including: How to Get Away with Murder, Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, IZombie and the list goes on. Not only a female behind the camera but a strong, fierce woman of color that is paving the way for others. I have highlighted many artists of color in front of the camera but it is so encouraging to know we exist behind the camera. Zetna, is contributing to the list of heavy hitter television directors and using her platform to include more actors of color in the projects she works on and for that I am grateful! Today, I celebrate you Zetna, your story encourages women of all cultures to follow their dream to use art as a means of change! #movementMondays
