Kwaremont is a village on the East-Flanders ridge, where the Tour of Flanders hills are, and it’s been part of the Ronde van Vlaanderen since one can remember. The Oude Kwaremont, a 1500m long cobbled climb, with average 4% and maximum 11.6% gradient comes 124km into the women's race. It's as much about the elbows out, no holds bar fight for position before the Oude Kwaremont as it is about the climb itself.
