Memories of #Armenia ~ Man prostrating in pray last week on Holy Saturday at the Tatev Monastery, Tatev, Armenia.

A perpetual cascade of memory from a month long embrace in Armenia continues to pour. Last weekend, a day before Easter, I traveled with photographer @anushbabajanyan to the south east of the country, meandering in regions of Armenia I had not yet witnessed. Having spent so much time last year in ancient Armenian churches around the region while working on the National Geographic story, #Ghostlands (appearing in the April 2016 edition of the magazine and on newsstands now), it was interesting to see this 9th century monastery not only being restored, also with people in prayer.
