"Giving back to his community was an integral part of the Prabal's upbringing, but it wasn’t until 2011—four years before the earthquake—when he started a charity of his own: The Shikshya Foundation Nepal. With a mission to educate underprivileged children, the foundation provided financial and psychological support to students as they travel from primary school through higher education. “I was able to come to New York, go to a good school and make a career because I had the privilege of an education.
