It was cool to be a part of this project with @outsidemagazine and @サッシャ・ディギーリアン about the rise of indoor climbing gyms. As a product of the gym, I'm a bit biased in my opinion that such facilities do more good than harm to climbing as a whole, but it's a worthy topic to explore as the sport continues to grow. One thing's for sure though; more and more people are being exposed to climbing, and with that increased popularity comes a greater responsibility on behalf of its ambassadors to represent the sport in a way that's not only authentic and respectful of the generation that came before us, but as well to advocate and be an example of proper environmental ethics and responsibility. I love watching climbing grow, seeing the future generation push the sport to the next level, and hopefully I am contributing in a positive way to the sport that has given me so much. Link in profile
