IEn el año 1963 y tras sus estudios en Barcelona, Florentino Cacheda fundaba en su tierra natal Lalín, la empresa FLORENTINO. En el año 1970, el diseñador invirtió en una fábrica de aproximadamente 1.700 m2. En esta primera nave, se fabricaron prendas hasta 1987, empleando lo que para aquel entonces era un proceso industrial con maquinaria puntera.
