KATSUDON "Pork Cutlet" with eggs and sautéed onions over rice FLAVORGOD.COM - This Japanese dish was made with 3 of my seasonings including Habanero for a savory and SPICY rice bowl??‼️ - @stephiiicooks: Ingredients: 2 - 5 oz center-cut, boneless pork chops 1/4 c flour 1 egg, whisked 1 T FlavorGod Garlic Lovers 1/4 tsp FlavorGod S+P 1/2 c panko oil, for frying - Sauce/egg (divided into 2) 1 tsp sesame oil 1/2 c dashi stock, warm water w/ 1 tsp dashi granules 1 tsp brown sugar 1 T low sodium soy sauce 2 tsp mirin 2 large eggs, whisked 1 medium onion, thinly sliced - Directions: Heat about half an inch of oil in a pan over medium heat. Combine the panko crumbs with the garlic and s+p. First dip the pork in flour, then egg and then into the panko crumb mixture. Slowly add to the hot oil. Reduce heat to medium low. Fry for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Once done, drain over paper towels and set aside. - Combine dashi, water, sugar, soy sauce & mirin in a bowl. Mix well and set aside. In an 8 inch pan, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook for a few minutes. Slice each pork into 1/2" thick strips. Add half of the dashi mixture over the onions. Slowly place 1 set of pork strips over the onions and dashi mixture. Add half of the egg mixture around the pork. Cover and cook until egg sets. Serve over a bed of rice and katsu sauce if desired. - Katsu Sauce 1/3 c no salt ketchup 1/4 c low sodium soy sauce 1/4 c brown sugar, packed 2 tsp Worcestershire 1/8 tsp FlavorGod Habanero Pinch of FlavorGod S+P - Combine everything into a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves and sauce slightly thickens. Refrigerate any leftovers for up to 5 days.
