I'm still in shock thinking about the horrific tragedy that occurred this week. Brussels basically saved my life when I was living in Paris in the 50’s and 60's. Every 3 months for 5 years I would take the train to the city and stay at the Metropole Hotel because I didn’t have a Visa ((:o)). As a result, I became friends with the people, learned the culture, & ate the best bouillabaisse French seafood stew with some of my new friends from the country. There are never "right" words to say when such a horrific event occurs, but we have to stay strong, let our love overcome the evil of this world & support each other in solidarity. I love you Brussels, your people, & the kindness you showed me when I lived there...a second home.
