PORTER STANDに創業80周年を記念した今季限定のアニバーサリーモデル「エレガントバッグ」が入荷しました。
エレガントバッグは1953年に吉田カバンの創業者である吉田吉蔵が開発した、ファスナーの開閉によってマチ幅を簡単に変えられる機能を搭載したカバンです。
終戦後の都市部での集合住宅の建設が急増した時代に、狭い室内でもコンパクトに収納できるようにと考案されました。
使用する時だけでなく、未使用時のことも考慮した画期的な構造は、当時の人々の心を掴んで大ヒットしました。
この仕様の特許は鞄業界の飛躍のために当時の鞄協会に寄贈され、その後様々な製品に活かされています。
天マチはオープンファスナー仕様で、ファスナーを開いてフラップ部を内側に落としたままでも使用することができます。
それは、マチの拡張によって別の表情を見せるエレガントバッグならではのスタイルです。

The limited edition anniversary model "ELEGANT BAG" created to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Yoshida & Co., Ltd. has come in stock at PORTER STAND.
The ELEGANT BAG is a bag that could change its depth by opening and closing a zipper, which Kichizo Yoshida (founder of Yoshida & Co., Ltd.) has developed in 1953.
After the war when constructions of apartments had suddenly increased in the urban area, this bag was thought up to be able to keep it compactly in small rooms.
The epoch-making structure considering both when it is and not used, it won the hearts and minds of the people at that time.
The patent of this function was donated to the bag association for the growth of the bag industry, and was applied to many other products afterward.
The roof part can be opened by a zipper and could also use it with the roof part kept on the bottom.
