Foster flashback Friday! This is Monkey. ? She got her name from how much she loves to climb. She and her siblings, Moo & Nugget had just turned 6 weeks old whe this pic which was taken in May '15. They were born in our home because we took in their very feral mama to foster when she was very pregnant and set up a birthing area in a large dog cage. Mama was eventually returned to her colony as she wasn't friendly and would actually try to attack. She was TNR'd (trap, neuter/spay, return) when the kittens were old enough to also be spayed and adopted out. Unlike Mama they were super sweet, playful, and friendly. They all got great homes and mama is still seen by the person who feeds her colony and is doing fine as she was before. If she had her kittens in the colony she was in, their fate would've probably been very different.
Fostering is so much fun & rewarding! If you've never done it you should try it! The rescues and shelters never have enough and you can make a difference! ?
