Photographer Jackie Lee Young (@jackieleeyoung) can’t get enough of Austin, Texas, the city she calls home. “The creativity and originality alive here is uplifting, and the artist community supports each other,” she says. “The love is real!” When #SXSW rolls around every year, the energy of the festival transforms Austin. “The air gets a little electric for a good three and a half weeks,” Jackie explains. “I love discovering new bands, watching people lose their minds over the popular ones and seeing bands from places unknown that blow your mind. For me, that was Courtney Barnett (@コートニー・バーネット) last year!” Jackie’s favorite local spot to hear live music? Hotel Vegas. “It is always welcoming no matter the show,” she says. “It is where dirty rock and roll should be seen, no doubt about it.”
